Christmas Day finally arrived!! Always seems like it takes forever for the kids and a blink for everyone else. This year wore me out but we also did a lot of fun stuff. I was really in the sprite of things and enjoyed every minute of it.
Alex asked Santa for a Bat Cave... this was the one!! He was so stinking cute when he opened it, he started jumping up and down and saying "i knew it, i just knew Santa was going to bring me this!!" He was so happy.
As i'm sure with everyone we have tons of pictures so I didn't post them all, just picked out a few to "wrap" up the day. Hahahaha
Ken's parents and brother Charlie arrived on Christmas Eve, we were SO happy to have them. And they were more than happy to be there with the boys.
Papa had to double fist his coffee to get a jump start...it isn't easy keeping up with those little ones.
Not only did Grandma and Papa visit they got the boys Kinect for the Xbox and a couple games.
I gotta say this thing is absolutely awesome!! No controller needed, YOU are the controller. You set up this camera on top of your tv and it captures you and tracks your moves. They got a dancing game, an Adventures game, and the sports game comes with it. SOOO fun!! The boys love it. And it is hilarious to watch them play.
Christmas morning after the blizzard of presents we had a breakfast bonanza!! The Alexanders and Braxton's mom Stef came over, and of course all of us Hammond's. Lots of great food and good company.
The Alexander's Christmas photo....not sure they were fully awake yet for this shot.
Alex sure was!! And boy does he LOVE pancakes and waffles!!
Braxton and his Grandma....he was awake but then I think he fell back asleep...maybe he came down from the sugar rush of all the syrup.
Braxton is COMPLETELY into Legos ... Star Wars Legos to be exact....so of course this means so is Alex. And with all this joy comes putting together all of those lego parts.
Grandma 'Ne and Poppy sent Alex a bat cave too...this one is pretty neat in the sense that you can build it several different ways....the only downfall is ... Grandma 'Ne and Poppy aren't here to build it several different ways.
Our boys!! Love those faces!!
Braxton and his Mom.
If you haven't figures out by now Alex is just a little bit into Batman this year. New jammies and a mask to boot! He was flying all around the house.
Uncle Charlie helping Alex with his Lego set...
Dad helping Braxton with his starship Lego set....
One happy happy boy!! He is in Batman heaven!! (the hat is even Batman though you can't see it so well in this picture.)
Ken I think at this point was about over putting together Legos...
but he kept at it....and yes they come with big stinking manuals!!
Star Wars jammies
Braxton the next morning letting Grandma enjoy the joys of putting together Legos. However she wasn't as forgiving as the other adults...Braxton had to build it all himself.
Alex with his Papa, playing Papa's computer game.
We had a really great Christmas. We are very blessed to have everything we do, and the family and friends we do.
