Janelle and I decided to run our first half marathon in Moab Oct 17th. After some training, not enough though, we were off.....
Our husbands came with us down to Moab, and we enjoyed a weekend night out of town with no kids! That alone was fabulous.
We had dinner at Eddie McStiff's which is a great Moab pub and eatery. Great local brew. So of course we had to have a glass to relax.
Moab has amazing scenery. The run was along the river with the desert rocks. The course was TOUGH but extremely beautiful.
Moab has a winery that was very close to where the finish line was. Our husbands stopped on their way up and bought us bottles of wine. They were so amazingly sweet all weekend. It was so nice to have their support and be pampered.
There i am in the middle coming in the finish line. I'm about to die right there but i was still going.
I'm the 34yo F in the middle...2hrs and 44mins. Not the best but those hills on the course were no joke! Literally kicked my butt. I came in 880th...which sounds pretty bad BUT it was out of 1500 people...so at least i beat a few people.
